Roxy stared around the room, wondering where the delightful aroma was coming from. When she found it she stared up at the person eating it and started to drool, long strings of saliva dripped from her jowls. Every spoonful teased her and she inched closer gazing with her big puppy dog eyes.
She stared at the tormenting tub of vanilla ice-cream, full of enticing pieces of cookie dough and toffee.
Her owner smiled down and offered the tub with the last spoonful and Roxy was in blissful heaven.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI've seen this picture many, many times!

ReplyDeleteWho couldn't share at least a little? Nice story!
ReplyDeleteThat is true.... Especially when they use their puppy eyes... ;)
DeleteI had a bbq last week and my dog spent the entire time sniffing from one person to the next. Her attention completely dictated by who was holding food.
ReplyDeleteThat is just like Roxy, she would stare at anyone with food.... :)
DeleteVery evocative. Nice job with the prompt!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment... :)
DeleteAw. This is cute and beautifully written; no one can resist puppy dog eyes. Well done Chicken. x

DeleteWe had a dog that loved custard and usually got it when we did from a nearby convenience store.
ReplyDeleteYes, that is exactly like our dog.... If we have trifle she just stares at us waiting for the food, but she normally just gets the tub... ;)
DeleteCool, Roxy just loves ice-cream! Love this Cait! x
ReplyDeleteI know she would eat it all the time if we let her.... ;)
